Ok so my sister in law is in her 20s has fluid on lungs, high blood pressure, 40 pounds of fluid retention over her whole body, low kidney function and fluid around her heart. She was 8 months pregnant nearly 3 wks ago and lost baby Shane when the placenta detatched and has been sick since she gave birth. They thought she had toxemia but that doesn't explain why she's still so sick. Her dr says he thinks he might know what's wrong with her but is waiting on test results. Does anyone know what this could be? We so scared we"re gonna lose her

Hello,

I am substantially light for my age and height. I am currently 19 years of age, 5'8 & 115 pounds. I have a very petite body, so I don't appear to be as thin as my weight would actually suggest. I've tried seemingly everything to gain weight, including various diets and exercise. Nothing seems to work. So, I was wondering if my petite body could have been brought on by my premature birth and nearly dying during birth. I was born a month earlier than when I was supposed to be born, and my mother had toxemia when she gave birth to me. Could this possibly be the reason that I'm defective? I don't think it has anything to do with genetics. My dad was pretty thin at my age, but not 115 pounds thin.

I am a single mom of 2. I have a 5 month old and a 4 year old. I was 120 when I got pregnant with my oldest and 165 when I had her. I was 130 when I got pregnant with my youngest and 175 when I had him. I developed toxemia with my youngest. I have been dieting and exercising and have came to a stand still. I can't lose any more weight for some reason. Is there any company or programs that help moms get rid of the excess skin on the stomach?

Am I at risk for toxemia, given my mom had it with me?

ok well, when my mom was pregnant with me she had toxemia..does that mean that if i ever get pregnant will i be at risk as well. i have 3 siblings but i was the only one that she had toxemia with. i dont plan on having sex until marriage, but i was just curious. given i know the history. i read that you could be put at slightly higher risk but not much.

What is toxemia and what are the symtoms?

i'm 23+5 weeks pregnant.I had a check up with my gp on wednesday and my blood pressure was 145. i've to go back in tomoro(friday) to check it again. i've been very stressed the past few days and also there is toxemia on my mums side of the family (mum, nan cousin and aunt had it) i'm worried that i might have it. i've also been gettin cramping since about 18 weeks when walking, but today started getting it in a diff place and even when i was resting, on my bottom right side, braxton hicks?

Severe swelling of legs and feet after giving birth?

I just had a baby girl 4 days ago, I was induced because of possible signs of toxemia, during the last month of my pregnancy my feet ankles and legs were swollen really bad..to the point that it was difficult to walk at times, I assumed that after delivery all this would go away as it did when I had my son, but for some reason I am still really swollen, I have tried drinking lots of water and I have propped my feet up..but nothing really helps and even when they go down slightly..they are swollen again within a matter of 10 mins...is this normal and how long before it should go away?

A doctor gave me Magnesium Sulfate when I was about 30-32weeks pregnant,I read that Magnesium Sulfate was used for Moderate to Severe Toxemia and/or Pre-Term Labor....Are there any SERIOUS side effects to the mother and/or baby due to using Magnesium Sulfate when not needed?
On 9/21/09 I was told I needed to have labor induced due to having Severe Toxemia,I want to know if Magnesium Sulfate is the reason why I got Severe Toxemia?

What is the difference between Toxemia and Spilling Ketones?
