They could potentially be Braxton Hicks contractions, that is what your body does in preparation for eventual labor. This Blood Pressure measurement is slightly elevated, but it could have been elevated for a number of reasons. If you were rushing to get there, if you ate, smoked, or drank any fluids within 30 minutes of getting there, if the blood pressure cuff was not the right size, or if it was to tight, all of these factors could potentially raise your Blood Pressure reading. Most likely the physician will do 3 serial readings, very close together, either within a few hours, days, or appts to see if they are all elevated, this would be an adequate way to diagnose it. If you just take one reading, and the doc tells you you have high Blood pressure, this may not be the case, unless they check it as I have stated above. The Best thing you can do is practice taking breaks, lots of deep breathing and relaxation, try not to be around stressful triggers that upset you, get plenty of fluids, sleep and adequate dietary intake based on what your doc has recommended for you, If they haven’t made you aware, ask them. Elevated Blood pressure, especially if it continues puts you at risk of an early labor, robs you and the baby of needed blood flow, so it must be managed and monitored if it is diagnosed by the serial readings….try not to drink or eat 30 minutes prior to your appt, and try to make sure you are rested, and not running around trying to get to your appts, this will give you a more accurate reading….
